Who Is FORO
Friends Of Russian Orphans (FORO) is an American Christian organization
dedicated to caring for orphans and workers in the Arkhangelsk region and
elsewhere in Russia.
FORO's mission is to provide practical assistance and friendship programs at
orphanages in Russia, and by doing so, to share the love and good news of
Jesus Christ with Russian children and adults touched by FORO's outreach.
FORO Is a not-for-profit corporation organized under Ohio law, and is an
I.R.S. 501(c)(3) entity.
Our Board of Directors
FORO is privileged to be guided by a dedicated Board of Directors. FORO Board members
are committed to the organization in the following ways:
- By making FORO a priority in the Board member's personal prayer life;
- By providing good, practical direction, judgment, and advice concerning the work
of FORO;
- By holding the officers and volunteers of FORO accountable in every way
(financially, operationally and spiritually) for the work that is conducted;

Michael Bragg is a partner in the Toledo, Ohio law firm of Spengler Nathanson where he
practices extensively in the real estate area with a concentration on real estate tax
valuation, construction law, acquisitions and sales of real property, and commercial
leases. Mike also spends time consulting with small to medium sized businesses on
general business, insolvency and creditors rights matters, estate planning, and business
succession matters. Mike is a graduate of the College of Wooster with a BA in Political
Science and of Case Western Reserve University with a J.D. 1985. Mike is active in the
Sierra Club of Toledo and is Athletic Commissioner of St. Joan of Arc Parish. Mike and his
wife, Sharon, have four children. |

Kerry Patric Clark has always had a great voice. Singing on stages all over the country, he
has drawn people in with his dynamic range, performing everything from the soothing
ballad to the humorous parody. His songs reflect his connection to God and are a
testament to the power inherent in someone who has aligned himself with Spirit and
allows it to flow freely. Kerry and his wife, Amy, have three sons. Kerry’s songs and
laughter make him a favorite at FORO’s orphanages. |

Shelley Davis has worked as an early childhood education teacher, most recently at Gan
Yeladim Jewish Preschool as the secular teacher where she was responsible for planning
and theme teaching children ages 3-5. She is a member of the National Association of
Education of Young Children. She also has served as Fundraising Chairperson and
Treasurer at her children's school. Shelley and her husband, Bruce, have seven children
ranging in age from 27 to 1. Four of their children are adopted; Grace, adopted at theage of 4 months from Seoul, Korea, Sergei, at the age of 6 from Podolsk, Russia, and Eliza
and Joey adopted as infants from the US foster care system. |

Teresa Grigsby is the Secretary of FORO. Teresa is a partner in the Toledo, Ohio law firm
of Spengler Nathanson where she focuses her practice in the defense of commercial,
business and public sector clients at the pretrial, trial and appellate stages. Teresa is an
active member of First United Methodist Church in Sylvania, Ohio where she has also
served as chair of the Finance Committee, Trustee Committee, Nominations Committee
and the Committee on Nurture. Teresa’s son Jonathan, was adopted from the Arkhangelsk
region, Russia in 2005. |

Douglas Haynam is a partner in Toledo, Ohio office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick. His
principal areas of practice are environmental litigation, consultation and administrative
practice. Doug also serves as a member of the Sylvania City Council. Doug serves on the
Executive Board of the Toledo Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Chair of
Sylvania Area Republicans.
He is a member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church, where he also teaches junior
high Sunday School. Doug and his wife, Pam, have three children.

Michael Jenkins is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, and received his Masters and
Doctor of Divinity degrees from United Theological Seminary. He is Pastor of Zion United Methodist Church in
Toledo. His former pastorates include churches in Elida, Pataskala,
Circleville, and Sylvania, Ohio. Prior to the ministry, Mike served as a deputy
Sheriff on both uniform patrol, and as plain clothes detective and juvenile officer. His
past community service includes two terms as a member of the Elida Local Schools Board
of Education. Mike and his wife Terry have two children and seven grandchildren, and in
2003 became the parents of a young boy, Caeleb, now age seven. FORO’s work convinced
Mike and Terry that they could make a difference in Caleb’s life. |

Jeff King is a Toledo native and a product trainer for Eaton Corporation. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he has served as Sunday School Superintendent, elder, and liturgist. A former stage actor, his creativity has since found expression in writing two screenplays and a novel, The Substance Hoped For (thesubstanchopedfor.com). A second novel is coming. Jeff and his wife, Julie, have two daughters, Hillary and Olivia.

Letitia Marth is originally from Maryland but makes her home now in Ottawa Hills. She is
a the former general counsel of Dana Commercial Credit Corporation and a formerly
associated with the Richmond, Virginia based law firm of Hunton & Williams. Letitia and
her husband, Paul Bishop, have three sons including one son, Nikolas, who was adopted
from the Tyumen region of Russia in 2003. |

Kenneth Mauer is a partner at the Toledo law firm of Marshall Melhorn. Ken was formerly
legal counsel to Libby Owens Ford and now concentrates his practice in the area
counseling business clients in various risk areas including environmental issues. Ken and
his wife, Pat, have one daughter. |

Amy Natyshak practices civil litigation at the Toledo law firm of Marshall & Melhorn,
with an emphasis on products and premises liability, personal injury defense, and
various discrimination matters. Amy leads the Children's Liturgy program at Corpus
Christi University parish and is a volunteer at Gesu School where she is a Girl Scout
troop leader. She is active in her neighborhood association, and is a driver for the
migrant worker free health care program through "Flock". Amy and her husband,
Michael, have four children, including their son, Misha, adopted from Tula, Russia in
November 2003. |

Laurie Pangle-Watrol is a partner in the Toledo, Ohio law firm of Spengler Nathanson
where she provides legal and business advice to financial institutions. Laurie previously
served as general counsel for two financial institutions in Ohio. She has actively engaged
in training and support of retail banking, both service and lending functions. Laurie was
the recipient of the 2001 Kelb Distinguished Service Award of the Toledo Bar Association
for work with Toledo Bar Association Pro Bono Program and Access to Justice Awards
Dinner. Laurie was also awarded the "Spirit of Wood County" award for community
service. She is an active member of Lutheran Church of the Master where she is the VBS
coordinator. Laurie is a graduate of The University of Toledo MBA Program, ValparaisoUniversity School of Law, and attended the University of Michigan. Laurie and her husband
Bob Watrol are the parents of three children. |

Judy Stookey is a teacher specializing in early childhood education. A
graduate of Illinois State University, she has been a member of the faculty
of Emmanuel Christian School in Toledo, Ohio since 1997, where she presently
teaches kindergarten. Judy spent time in Russia following her graduation
from college, fulfilling a life-long ambition to get to know her mother's
native country. Judy and her husband have two daughters and one grandchild. |

Andrew Wiegand grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Harvard
University and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has served as the senior pastor of
McCord Road Christian Church since 1983. Andy serves on the board of Metro-Toledo
Churches United and serves on the steering committee for the Toledo DAWN project. He is
the convener for District 1 DOC churches this year and the convener of a weekly prayer
meeting for Sylvania clergy. Andy also serves as the board chairman for the National
Evangelistic Association and is the secretary/treasurer for Family Outreach Ministries
(Bahamas). Andy and his wife Jenny have six children and included two boys, David and
Michael, adopted from the Kotlas Baby Home in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia in March
2004. |

Lisa Wurster is a Managing Attorney for Dana Corporation and the President of FORO. At
Dana, Lisa represents various operational units of the company and focuses part of her
practice on corporate compliance and ethics matters. She has been a Sunday school
teacher and has served on the Board of Sylvania Area Family Services. Lisa and her husband
Phill have four children including their two youngest sons, Peter, adopted from the
Arkhangelsk region of Russia in November 2001, and Andrew, adopted from the Nizhniy
Novgorad region in 2005. |

Phillip Wurster has been an attorney in private practice in Toledo, Ohio concentrating his
practice on municipal law and adoption law. Phillip received both his undergraduate and
law degrees from the University of Toledo. He is an member of McCord Road Christian
Church where he has served as an elder and small group leader. He is the Vice-President of
FORO. In 2006, Phill established “Spirit of Faith Adoptions,” a domestic and international

wife, Lisa, are the parents of four children. Their two youngest sons were adopted from
Russia.
